Nominees Announced for “X-Play Best of 2008 Awards”

G4 and their hit show "X-Play" have announced their complete list of nominees for the "X-Play Best of 2008" awards show that will premier in a one-hour special on the network Tuesday December 9, 2008 at 8pm est/pst. The show's hosts Adam Sessler and Morgan Webb will be revealing the selections from the 20+ categories in the sixth annual special.

Diablo 3 Dev Team Does Not Have all Classes and Act 1 Done

Diii.net reports that there has been a misunderstanding growing among the Diablo community since Rob Pardo made a few comments on the game's progress in an interview at WWI 2008, which would imply that Blizzard have all the classes and most of the game ready to play in their office. The rumour has it that a lot of work is done on the game and that Blizzard is just keeping their great game back to spite the fans.

Mirror’s Edge PC confirmed for January

If you recently bought the PC version of Grand Theft Auto IV and are experiencing any minor to major difficulties, you're not alone. This is a PC release of a GTA game with the single most problems ever. This version of the game was outsourced and developed in Canada at Rockstar Toronto and this might have something to do with the problems, we honestly can't say for sure. Microsoft Releases a Firefox Addon

Microsoft has today released a plug-in for Firefox that allows Open XML documents to be viewed within the popular open source browser.

The software giant said that its new Open XML Document Viewer works within Firefox and can be used on Windows and Linux platforms without needing a local installation of MS Office.

Microsoft said its new Firefox-friendly OXML* viewer would improve translations between formats including "direct interoperability" from OXML to HTML formats.
